The First Visit

The practice of law is not just about resolving legal problems through the application of existing laws.  It is about helping people; so that is why our primary concern is getting to know you, pin pointing your concerns and finding ways to realize your expectations.

On your initial visit you will be asked to fill out an intake form which will provide us with your contact information.  To print a copy of this or any of the forms mentioned on this web page simply right click the corresponding hyperlink and then left click "Print Target" in the resulting popup menu. All forms can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader.  If you do not have a copy you can download a copy by left clicking the following hyperlink (Adobe Acrobat Reader).

After completing the intake form you will be given a copy of our Payment Policies and Procedures.  This one page document outlines our office policies and payment procedures.  Most of this information will be a recap of the information already provided to you during your free phone consultation.

Next an attorneys will meet with you to review the details of your case and to explore ways we can assist you.  This initial consult usually lasts no more than an hour at the end of which the attorney will have to you sign a Retainer and Subject Matter Agreement.  The Agreement summarizes the nature of the services to be provided by Brown, Geiger and Associates and also serves as acknowledgment of your financial commitment.

If for some reason we can not provide the services your need in most cases we will be able to refer you to a professional who can.
